So, what is the black stuff coming out of your bathtub jets?

by JetShine Info

You are ready to relax in your tub and turn on the jets and your relaxing bath experience is ruined by a bunch of black flakes swirling all over.  Super gross, we get it.

What is that black stuff?  Believe it or not, most of the time it is not usually black mold.  It's a combination of buildup from skin, oils, soaps, mildew, and bacteria that sits there in the pipes and builds up in between cleanings.

So, what should you do about it?  They say an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.  Ideally, you would clean your whirlpool or jetted tub after every use.  Yep, we're biased and think you should just pour in a dose of JetShine jetted tub cleaner after your bath but before you drain it and let it run for 15 minutes.  It's all natural, smells great, and actually works to break all that gunk down.  But really, any cleaning is better than nothing.
